Treating Epilepsy Naturally
A Parent Support Program
I remember one night when my daughter was having hundreds of seizures a day that I wondered if she would die and if we could do anything to save her….
We were on our 5th medication, we were using baby signing with her after she lost the ability to speak from the seizures, and she was STARVING and angry from the steroids she was on.
The diet had started to work (thank god!) but she was still very sick and I thought, that’s it I am not giving up. We are BEGGING for more solutions.
But in the end I thought, gosh it’s gonna have to be me. I am gonna have to learn and teach myself and then use it with my child. And that’s what I did.
This program was born from frustration.
Kids are prescribed anti epileptics, sometimes multiple times over and there are no conversations about diet, lifestyle, triggers and potential nutrient deficiencies.
We are told time and time again that diet doesn’t work, what our kids eat doesn’t impact their brains, that supplements are bogus, that there are no known triggers for seizures and I call BS.
There are so many small and LARGE things we can be doing to support our children to have:
Less mood issues
Better sleep
Improved behaviour
Better skin
Increased energy
Reduced seizures
In this program I will be providing you with all the knowledge and the skills I’ve acquired to support your child’s mood, energy, sleep and overall well-being.
No one truly understands what it feels like to have a medically complex child, the loneliness and the jealousy you catch yourself having.
So I invite you to join a community of like minded parents, where we catch up once a week for 4 weeks.
You’ll gain support and insights from a practitioner and Mum who is walking beside you and is facing the same complex situations that you do. You can ask me anything in the confines of this supportive container.
Come away feeling empowered, seen, and most importantly, educated on how you can help your child.
Side effects are a major reason treatments fail, affecting up to 40% of people, and can significantly reduce quality of life even when seizures are controlled
Children are much more likely to experience side
effects when they are prescribed more than
one medication (polytherapy)
of likeminded families wanting to optimise their kids and their families health
who is also a busy mum and knows the struggles of day-to-day family life
whilst you try new things – experimenting with changes and having support each step of the way
not just with your family, but others who are journeying this path with you
When Sonya started her Keto for Families Program I couldn’t wait to join. It has given me so much insight, not only learning from Sonya but from other parents.
My picky eater was no match for Sonya, always coming to the rescue with new and different ideas to change up the way we’re doing things at home. These things can be as simple as a supermarket swap, one brand over another or a simple check of the ingredient list.
With the program being a small group, it has been so nurturing, supportive and we get so much knowledge and personalised treatment quickly so we can put it into practice straight away.
I highly recommend this group, even if you’re just starting to think about implementing Keto/MAD, you can do it slowly like I am and implement the parts that suit your family, even small changes can make a big difference, and Sonya’s support is truly invaluable!

I’ve recently been participating in the online Keto for Families program, and want to say a big thank you to Sonya for the practical support and wealth of resources. It can be stressful and overwhelming making changes to food habits that have been easy and convenient for so long (especially when they need to be approved by mini food critics, aka the kids!), and as Mums we can feel like we’re taking the brunt of it!
Sonya’s expertise is unique in that she’s a Mother herself, has walked the path of health challenges with her own family AND her clinical experience as a nutritionist. Sonya’s genuine determination to see you succeed means she is willing to adapt and evolve her approach to get the best outcome for your family.
I would recommend this program to anyone who doesn’t know where to start and needs some extra support applying practical strategies straight away!
